We’ve already established how racist the Tea Party is (see photo here), so now it is time to established the racist bona fides of the GOP. For exhibit A, lets look at this speech by the mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Mia Love:

The Republican Party:
- Fought against slavery and a Democrat South in the Civil War
- Was behind Reconstruction
- Pushed through the Thirteenth Amendment, ending slavery in the US
- Pushed through the Fourteenth Amendment, giving citizenship to the former slaves and their children
- Pushed through the Fifteenth Amendment, guaranteeing the right to vote, regardless of race
- Finished desegregating the military and the US government, despite institutional objections
- Passed the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960
- Forcibly desegregated Little Rock High School in 1957, over the objections of a Democrat governor and Democrat political establishment
- Broke a Democrat filibuster and overwhelmingly voted to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Sound pretty racist to me.
