These photos were all taken at the greenhouse at the Shilin Official Residence, Chaing Kai-shek’s estate in Taipei, Taiwan. Madame Chiang Kai-shek was a horticulture and botany enthusiast, so the estate is mostly known for its first-rate flower gardens. After her death, the estate was bequeathed to the nation. The orchid greenhouse is next door to the Victory Chapel, which was Chiang Kai-shek’s private church.
