Merts–men’s skirts, that is. We first saw this mentioned on Dave Barry’s blog, and thought that he was joking, but sadly, he was not. These are fashions that actually made it down the London catwalk.

Some people are trying to make these more acceptable by calling them kilts, but that is a little bit more than disingenuous, don’t you think? After all, these are what real men look like when they are wearing kilts:
